Fiberglass Insulation Board
Insulvora manufactures fiberglass insulation boards for exterior walls, partition walls, curtain walls, roofing and other thermal and acoustic insulation applications suited to board-form materials. Boards are produced and supplied according to the required density, thickness, length, width and product grade for project and bulk purchasing.
Fiberglass Insulation Board Specifications
This glass wool insulation product is supplied in fixed board dimensions for applications requiring a defined panel format. Density, thickness, length and width form the main product specifications for wall, partition, curtain wall, roofing and other compatible insulation projects.
Density, thickness and board dimensions form the basic order specification. Standard boards have a maximum working temperature of 350°C, while the high-temperature board configuration listed for this product has a maximum working temperature of 450°C.
Typical Applications
Glass wool board is suited to assemblies that require the insulation to retain a flat shape and fixed dimensions. Typical locations include exterior walls, partitions, curtain-wall cavities and roofs. Where a board-form product is specified, it may also be fabricated to suit compatible pipe insulation applications.
Compared with soft roll insulation, board is easier to position, cut and mechanically fix. Selection should reflect the actual support and fixing method because glass wool board is insulation, not a structural panel. Long, continuous runs and irregular surfaces are generally better served by glass wool roll. Order dimensions and quantities should follow the project board layout.
Thermal Performance & Product Data
Installed thermal resistance is determined by the declared thermal conductivity of the selected grade and the board thickness. A higher density may improve stiffness and handling but does not, by itself, demonstrate higher thermal resistance, compressive strength or acoustic performance. The standard board page lists a maximum service temperature of 350°C, while the high-temperature board construction is listed at 450°C; facings, adhesives and fixings may impose a lower limit on the finished system.
Sound absorption also depends on thickness, installation method, the backing air space and any facing. Fire and mechanical performance must be supported by test data for the board supplied or the complete assembly. Allow an adequate temperature margin for actual operating conditions and start-stop cycles.
Factory Supply & Order Specification
Insulvora prepares fiberglass insulation board quotations and production according to the required board specification. Density, thickness, board dimensions, quantity, color and packing requirements can be included in the same order basis for project or distribution purchasing.
Orders are prepared around the required density, thickness, board length, board width and quantity. The supplied board grade and dimensions are recorded as part of the confirmed order specification.
For the 24–96 kg/m³ density and 20–100 mm thickness range listed in the available product data, yellow boards are supplied with an inner PVC bag and outer woven-fabric bag. Other product grades are supplied according to their corresponding specification.
Where fire, acoustic, compressive, dimensional stability or other tested performance is required, the specific requirement can be included in the enquiry together with the main board specification and matched to the actual fiberglass insulation board grade being quoted.
