Fiberglass Insulation Roll Specifications

This flexible glass wool product is supplied in roll or blanket form for continuous coverage across large insulation areas. A fiberglass insulation blanket configuration can be supplied where the project requires a flexible blanket rather than a rigid board or a preformed pipe section.

Available Specification Range Glass Wool Roll
Density10–72 kg/m³
Thickness25–100 mm
Width1.2 m
Length5–30 m
Thermal Conductivity0.035–0.042 W/m·K
Maximum Working Temperature350°C

Density, thickness, roll width and roll length form the main supply specification. Facing or other construction requirements are confirmed together with the base roll specification when they are part of the order.

Typical Applications

Glass wool roll is suitable for long, continuous insulation runs in roofs, ceilings, light-gauge steel framed walls, and industrial or commercial building envelopes. The flexible roll can be cut to site dimensions, making it easier to fit around purlins, framing members, penetrations and local changes in geometry while reducing joints across large areas.

Where permitted by the system design, the roll may also be used to wrap ducts or large-diameter pipework; straight pipes requiring a precise internal diameter should use preformed glass wool pipe sections.

Glass wool board should be used where fixed panel dimensions or greater rigidity are required. The roll format also supports staged material preparation, rapid installation and better waste control.

Thermal Performance & Product Data

Thermal performance depends on the combination of thermal conductivity and installed thickness; density alone does not directly indicate thermal resistance. The thermal conductivity range and 350°C temperature limit shown on this page should correspond to the specific product grade, test conditions and supplied construction. Compression, gaps and discontinuous coverage will reduce actual thermal performance.

Fire and acoustic performance should be confirmed against the tested product or complete assembly. Technical documentation should also match the supplied density, thickness and facing. Edges, penetrations and terminations should be checked individually and carefully.

Factory Supply & Order Specification

Insulvora prepares glass wool roll orders against a confirmed product specification. Density, thickness, width, length, surface configuration, quantity and packing requirements can be recorded within the same order basis for quotation and production preparation.

For project or distribution purchasing, the confirmed specification can carry through quotation, production preparation, documentation and packing, keeping the ordered construction and supplied material aligned.

Specification & Production

The roll specification records the required dimensions and product configuration for the actual order. Facing or other construction requirements are confirmed with the base roll rather than transferred from another glass wool product.

Technical Documents

Technical datasheets, product-specific test reports, applicable compliance documents or other project records can be aligned with the quoted product where required. The document scope remains tied to the supplied grade and configuration.

Packing & Repeat Supply

Available packing includes plastic bag or box packing, with the final method confirmed for the order. For repeat purchasing, the approved product dimensions, density, configuration, labeling and packing requirements can form the reference specification for later orders.
